Stained Glass Window Planter

Discover the art of stained glass in this two-day class, where you’ll create your own window hanging from start to finish. Learn foundational stained glass techniques, from cutting and shaping glass pieces to soldering and framing your design. All tools and materials are available at our glass studio. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Call to register participants ages 14-17 (must attend with an enrolled adult).

Cindy Bergstrom

Cindy is the Stained Glass Instructor for Orono Community Education and Wayzata Community Education. In 2003 the Discovery Center opened the Stained Glass Studio, where Cindy shares her love of stained glass with others. It had always been Cindy's dream to have a studio for people to learn, create and enjoy. Her studies include: Colorado State University, stained glass study at local studios, Orono Community Education, and hands-on learning. "I always learn something new whenever I teach. It's fun to see how students interpret the techniques I teach. I'm truly happy to be able to see the beautiful art that happens, in so many different applications." Cindy has been sharing her passion for stained glass with students for many years.
