Taking the "Doh!" Out of Sourdough
Have you always wanted to try making sourdough but felt overwhelmed? This fun, hands-on workshop takes the mystery out of the sourdough process and shows you how to bake amazing bread with a simple, real-life method. Mix your own dough, learn how to care for a starter, and go home with: one loaf of dough to bake the next day, your own starter, and clear, step-by-step instructions to keep baking at home.
What to bring:
- Large mixing bowl
- Tea towel/kitchen towel
- Spatula or dough scraper
- Kitchen scale (if you have one)
Note: For best results, sourdough is typically baked in a Dutch oven. The instructor will share alternative baking options during the workshop, but if you’ve been thinking about getting (or borrowing) one, now’s a great time! A minimum 4–5 qt size is ideal.
Children ages 14 years or older may enroll with an enrolled adult.
