Sunny with a Chance of Flowers

Hi! My name is Megan Sterne and I’m excited to be a part of the Orono community! A little about me is I attended school in Orono and graduated from there! I went to college at Bethel University and majored in Elementary Education. I’ve been an elementary teacher for the past ten years. I have always had a love for nature, gardening, and a passion for teaching. This was the inspiration behind starting my small flower business, Sunshine Supply Flower Co. I started my small business to bring joy to others and provide unique experiences through flowers!

My small business started out just like a small seed getting planted for the first time. It took a lot of tending, love, and care to get it started. It first sprouted into spreading sunshine at some markets, “Bloom Bars,” and arrangements for close family and friends. It continued to grow into a seedling where sunshine spread to residents of Senior Living Communities, people in Community Education classes, and communities of nurses, teachers, and kids! From a seedling it continued to blossom by sunshine spreading to small business shops, “Flower Hour” events, many special occasions, and more! Sunshine Supply continues to bloom, grow, and spread all kinds of sunshine. It will continue to follow where the wind may take it! The core mission on my business is spreading joy and sunshine to others through authentic, meaningful, and enjoyable flower experiences. Spreading “sunshine” one stem at a time! Friends. Family. Favorite Past Time: Spending time outdoors, playing with our dog Lindy, & fishing with my family (especially fly fishing)!
