Preschool Level 3
AGES 3 - 5 YEARS OLD
For the preschool swimmer who is comfortable floating, submerging, and swimming independently.
Course Content: This level is designed to increase proficiency and build aquatic skills learned in Preschool Levels 1 and 2 by providing additional guidance with increased distances and time. Skills covered in this level include: fully submerging, holding breath for greater amounts of time, rotary breathing, floats, traveling on font and back with combined arm and leg actions and changing directions while swimming.
Exit Skills:
- Step from side, chest deep water, push off from bottom and into a treading/floating position then swim for 5 body lengths to exit water.
- Move into a back float for 15 seconds, roll to front and then recover to a vertical position.
- Push off and swim using combined arm/leg actions for 5 body lengths, roll to back and float (15 sec), roll to front and swim back.
