CALM Conversations: Conversations on Access to Lethal MeansParenting & FamilyThe CALM Conversations workshop is designed to provide friends, family, and others with information on how to recognize and respond to suicide risk, with an additional focus on increasing lethal means safety – especially concerning firearms. Participants learn how to talk with someone who might be having these thoughts in a collaborative, non-judgmental, and supportive manner. CALM Conversations is divided into four sections. Section 1: Learn basic facts and misconceptions about suicide, common risk factors and warning signs, and the importance of means safety in keeping at-risk individuals safe.Section 2: Learn to ask about mood and suicide, with opportunities to practice asking questions in their own words.Section 3: Focuses on connecting at-risk individuals to both formal and informal sources of support.Section 4: Focuses on discussing lethal means safety in a way that respects the at-risk individual’s rights and autonomy. The goal is making the environment safer for the at-risk individual until their mood state improves.Fall 2026

CPR, First Aid & AEDHealth & WellnessThis blended learning (online learning and in-person skills) session will help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. Successful participants will receive a two-year Red Cross certificate for Adult and Pediatric (infant and child) CPR, First Aid and AED. Register at least 10 days prior to the in-person skills date, as time is needed to complete the online learning portion PRIOR to testing in person for the skills. This will allow you the time to complete lessons at your own pace. You will need to provide the instructor with proof of online completion in order to take part in the skills testing. Additional details regarding online learning session will be sent via email. A personal email address is required to receive class content.
