  • Fused Glass Garden Art

    Add a flash of color to your pots, planters, flowerbeds or garden! In this class, you will create a fused glass totem and stake. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Additional items can be made during class for an extra material fee payable at class. Due to the fusing cycle, you will need to return to the studio on any Wednesday after May 20th between 7 - 8:30pm.

    Fused Glass Open Studio

    Fused Glass Open Studio provides time and space to create fused glass projects for beginner and advanced participants. A facilitator will be on hand for advice and support. A $25 material fee will be collected at the studio for each new punch card. Participants are asked to bring their own glass (COE90-preferred), cutting tools and molds (sharing of materials is also an option). It is recommended that participants have taken at least one fused glass class before joining Open Studio. Punch cards have 8 punches and are valid for 12 months.
  • Garden Goddess Plant Stakes

    Create a unique and vibrant Garden Goddess plant stake to adorn your plants or garden in this exciting fused glass class! You'll personalize a pre-cut female glass form by decorating it with a beautiful array of colorful glass accessories like stringers, noodles, frit balls, and scrap glass. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Due to the necessary kiln-firing process, your finished piece will be ready for pick-up on any Wednesday after April 29th between 7 - 8:30 PM. When you return to the studio, you'll complete your goddess by stringing decorative beads onto the copper "hair" wires, as the beads cannot be fired in the kiln.
  • Glass Mosaic Bird Bath

    Join us this spring to make a one-of-a-kind bird bath. In this class, you will decorate a terra-cotta drip tray with pieces of stained glass. The bird bath can be placed on the ground or on a wrought-iron stand (not included). Grouting will take place on the second day of class, and if weather permits, students will grout outdoors. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Register for the Glass Mosaic Terracotta Pot class on April 13 & 14 to create a matching stand for your bird bath!
  • Paint Your Cabin

    Escape to your favorite place with paintbrush in hand! Join artist Kevin for a unique two-hour painting class where you’ll create a custom landscape of your cabin, lake house, farm, or home. Before the class, simply submit a photo of your special retreat, and Kevin will personally sketch the image onto a canvas board, ensuring you’re ready to start painting right away. No experience necessary! In this hands-on session, Kevin will guide you step-by-step through color application and painting techniques to bring your scene to life. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art that captures the essence of your favorite place. All supplies included. Please send a photo of your cabin or lakehouse to tara.st.martin@orono.k12.mn.us at least one week prior to class.
  • Paint Your Pet

    Paint a portrait of your furry, scaly, or feathered friend! Emily will prepare a sketch of your pet in advance and will guide you step-by-step through the painting process. Simply email a photo of your pet at least one week ahead of time. You'll go home with your completed masterpiece at the end of the night. No experience is needed. Fun for all skill levels!   • Stained Glass Open Studio

    Stained Glass Open Studio provides time and space to work on your projects whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced worker. A facilitator is available for advice and support. Purchase an 8-session punch card and receive an area to store supplies, tools and your projects. Punch cards are valid for 12 months. Students can group order glass and supplies to save time and money. Park in the back, north side of the building and enter through Door 5.
  • Stepping Stone

    Create your own 8” round stained glass stepping stone. Learn easy glass cutting techniques and freestyle assembly. Great class for beginners! Instructions will be given for larger stones. A $20 supply fee is payable to the instructor at class. Children age 14 and older are welcome to register if attending with a registered adult.
