ECFE in the Backyard!Summer ECFE - Parent/Child Classes (Ages: Birth-5 Years)Join us for some fun in the sun! We will explore and investigate nature in the Discovery Center’s Backyard. Children and their grown-ups will be able to play and get messy - all while learning and discovering! We will end each class with a circle time. We will be outside the entire time, so please dress accordingly. Sign-up for one week or all of them! Family Color DashCommunity EventsGet ready for a fun-filled event, the whole family will love! The Family Color Dash is a vibrant experience where you can run, walk, or dash through bursts of bright color. Join us on August 6 at the Orono Middle School, with check-in starting at 5:30 PM and the run kicking off at 6 PM. All pre-registered participants will receive a swag bag including an official event t-shirt! After the dash, stick around to enjoy music from DJ Edd, food, and sweet treats. Whether you're racing to the finish line or just in it for the fun, this event is perfect for all ages. Sign up today and get ready to dash in color! Early registration price: $25/person Registration price after June 1: $30/person To guarantee a swag bag including a t-shirt for the dash, please register online prior to Wednesday, July 22. Additional Items: Check-in will take place outside near the soccer fields at Orono Middle School on August 6th. (Early check-in will be available on Wednesday, August 5th from 1 - 3PM in the Community Ed office located at the Education Link). Please add t-shirt size during registration. All families must have at least one adult (18+) in attendance. This is a family event, please do not drop off unattended children. Please note, this event will take place on a grass field NOT on a paved surface. Participants will be covered in colored powder during this event. All powder used is environmentally friendly. We recommend keeping towels in your vehicle for after the event to help with clean up. Scholarships may be available upon request. First Peek into PreschoolECFE - Parent/Child Classes 2025-2026WaitlistNew Class! First Peek into Preschool is a drop-off class to help get your little one ready for Preschool when they are three! This registration is an add-on and must include registration in one of the other traditional ECFE classes as well (Terrific Twos, Marvelous Mixed Ages, or ECFE in the Evenings). Children should be age 2 as of September 1st, 2025 to best fit in this class. A traditional ECFE Class includes… Parent-Child Activity Time: time for families to explore a classroom filled with developmentally appropriate play and learning activities planned by a licensed early childhood teacher. Parent-Child Circle Time: time for parents to help their children with their first experiences in a large group activity at school. ECFE teachers are famous for the fun and creative ways they encourage language, music and your imagination. Parent Discussion Time: time for parents to meet with a licensed parent educator to share support, experiences and information about child development and parenting techniques. Separating - parent discussion time is held in a separate room. Children’s Activity Time: time for children to learn with the licensed early childhood teachers/staff and practice social skills as they interact with each other.School Year 2025/2026

Fitness Punch CardFitness & RecreationPurchase a Fitness Punch Card and drop into any adult fitness class on your time and your schedule. This is the perfect option if you cannot commit to a full class or want to try multiple different types of classes. Punch cards are valid for 6 months. Purchase another card if you run out of punches! Punch cards are kept in the Activities Center Fitness Room (30 & 31). The punch card is NOT VALID for pickleball classes, aquatics programs, virtual classes, private lessons or open gyms. Senior and Activities Center Membership discounts can not be applied toward a Punch Card purchase.
